Continuous Improvement Engineers x 2 (DAYS - Craigavon)

The roles will predominantly be focused on improvement opportunities, however, flexibility will be required and dictated by business needs.    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will effectively develop and lead the operational performance of manufacturing through process improvement projects.
 

The Role

  • Monitoring and optimising processes and systems and introducing corrective measures to reduce or minimise current scrap levels
  • Collective responsibility to deliver innovative improvement building our long term competitive advantage
  • Deliver year on year improvements in our manufacturing performance; safety, quality, service and productivity
  • Facilitate key process engineering projects, driving actions and implementation to completion
  • Ensure diagnostic data is collated, analysed and interpreted to optimise plant capability, in terms of cost, and volume and product consistency, in line with the manufacturing plan
  • Integrate process engineering and operational expertise
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Teams
 

The Person

    • The successful candidate will be degree educated or hold a HND engineering qualification or equivalent
    • Be self-motivated and offer sound technical and engineering advice for facilities performance improvement
    • Hands on approach to all opportunities
    • Ability to give encouragement, guidance and direction to others to improve performance
    • Ability to collect relevant data, history trends, process information, and other data to identify or troubleshoot process problems
    • Project Management experience
    • Lean Tools experience - 5S, Kaizen or Six Sigma
    • Experience leading cross functional teams
 
Desirable Experience:
    • Time served apprenticeship (4 years) in electrical, Mechatronic or electrical maintenance discipline.
    • Have extensive knowledge using AutoCad, including drawing experience
    • Ideally experience of working within the plastic manufacturing industry
 
Hours: Mon - Fri (Day role)
