Junior / Trainee UPS Engineer
Our client, one of Ireland's largest providers of UPS systems, is currently looking to recruit a Junior / Trainee UPS Engineer. This is an exciting role and the company is committed to providing ongoing professional development and the opportunity to become a technical expert with further progression in the company.

The Role

Working as a member of a close knit team, the Trainee Engineer will be primarily focused on the installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of high voltage UPS systems. The location of work varies depending on the client's site location.
Some work will require significant travel to the ROI; Mainland UK; Off Shore Islands; Europe and the Middle East. However, the employment contract insures that the maximum time the employee will spend away from home is capped at an agreed amount. Applicants should therefore ensure that they have sufficient arrangements in place to allow them to work and travel away from home.
The role will involve work in the following fields:
    • Single & Three Phase Electrical Systems
    • Field Service of existing UPS systems
    • Installation of Bespoke UPS systems

The Person

We are looking for candidates that meet the following criteria:
Essential:
    • Qualified apprentice / HND / HNC in an appropriate field.
    • Job requires significant manual handling ability and appropriate fitness levels
    • Full Driving Licence - 3 Points Maximum
The salary for this role is ?22k per year. There is also paid overtime included. The Client provides the use of a company vehicle for business millage, private health insurance and an attractive pension scheme.
